Cookhouse

When Jen Wu came to me wanting to put in a private kitchen space, I was intrigued. When we went to the planning department and couldn’t find the occupancy classification for this idea, I knew she was onto something great. Cookhouse is a private event space where you and your party can cook yourselves dinner or have a professional chef cook for you. Working closely with Jen and her own ideas, I came up with this kitchen design to suit her needs. In order to create this we had to completely demolish the hair salon that had occupied this space prior. By stripping away the walls we revealed the beautiful character of the architecture.
